Many high school students experience anxiety related to their future and how to navigate it.

They are asked to make decisions that affect the trajectory of their life with little understanding about how they are wired, and without vital tools needed to choose a career and plan for their future.

Once in college, 75% of students change majors at least once as they continue figuring out their future. Changing majors costs families an average of $5,000-$30,000 in additional college expenses.

This process can be overwhelming for students and costly for families navigating college and career choices.

The Solution

Career Coaching for Students provides high school students with insights into how they are wired to empower them to build a plan for a successful future.

The program uses personlized assessments to reveal students’ gifts, passions and behavioral fit, enabling them to realize their value and matching them with high potential career options.

Through guided research students are given tools to implement a plan to take ownership of their future.

Anxiety about the future is replaced with excitement, anticipation and confidence.

  • Assessment

Students begin the Career Coaching for Students program by taking an online workplace caliber assessment. This highly comprehensive assessment identifies behaviors, motivators, passions, talents and the matrix of elements that lead to a finding a successful career.

  • Workshop

Students then attend a one day workshop where they receive the results of their assessment and learn how to interpret their results to understand how they are wired. Included in their results are a list of high potential career options based on their personalized results. They then learn how to use this list to research and explore various education and career options.

  • Guidance

Students leave the workshop with their assessment, a comprehensive guidebook and access to online resources. The guidebook provides next steps for them to research, interview people in fields of interest, build networks, develop soft skills, and build an education plan. This part of the program is carried out over the course of a year with support from a parent or mentor.

With Career Coaching for Students

“Based on my personal assessment and feedback I now understand how my skills, motivators and behavioral fit can guide me to a successful career. My assessment results indicate that hospitality and graphic design are two high potential careers for me.

Using my step by step guide, I’ve researched these industries and found a university that has a program in graphic design with a focus in the hospitality industry, and is within my financial parameters and size preference.

I can now plan with my high school counselor which courses to take to reach my graduation goal.“
